This reminds me of Jill Mansell novels but set in Spain. The story takes place over a couple years and it's definitely a slow burn to have the couple come together. But what an enjoyable story to get there! The secondary characters are well developed and it was nice to hear their points of view. They made substantial contributions to the plot instead of being just props for coffee shop conversation or sequel bait. There's not a ton of interaction between the two main characters, but there's enough to understand the connection.

Love it......
Very sweet. I don't usually read romances, but this was very pleasant. Characters well drawn, story well told. A little too predictable, but I liked it.
Definitely 5 stars to both - the author and to Kit Maude for amazingly well done translation! Highly recommend it!
This book was written a little differently than I have experienced before, but I loved it. I didn't agree with all of the decisions that the female lead thought or felt, but I did enjoy the ride. I would have held the guy more responsible, since he had the facts and basically abandoned her. Over all the other characters kept me interested in this book. I will read another book from this author.
I really liked this book and I really can't say why- I just did.
No one is perfect and it is a bit realistic in that mistakes were made by choices.
I would like to read more from this author.
I recall some language and sex scenes- still I liked it very much.
Not sure if it's the translation or the writing but the story is bumpy and disjointed. Overall in ok read but the the story never really fled and I found myself skimming large sections.
I had a hard time getting through the first chapter but then I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I loved all the characters and the translator did an amazing job. I'd love to read more love stories by this talented author.
